La La Land director Damien Chazelle and star Ryan Gosling have reteamed for Universal Pictures’ First Man, “a look at the life of astronaut Neil Armstrong and the legendary space mission that led him to become the first man to walk on the Moon on July 20, 1969.” It is scheduled for release in the US on October 12, 2018.

The riveting story of NASA’s mission to land a man on the moon, focusing on Neil Armstrong and the years 1961-1969. A visceral, first-person account, based on the book by James R. Hansen, the movie will explore the sacrifices and the cost—on Armstrong and on the nation—of one of the most dangerous missions in history.

Great, more over dramatized hollywood crap. Should let Ron Howard do it. Apollo 13 is still not only one of my favorite all time films, but the soundtrack as well.

Just youtube astronauts grabbing wires or wire hoax, or compare permed hair with zero g plane hair. You can also look for augmented reality fails also on nasa. Also search for timing delays, many times nasa actors forget about the 11 second delay and you can see the slip up in their face. If you have taken the time to watch nasa videos over years they are a one trick pony. I find the videos extremely tiring as it's the same thing over and over, wire flips and pointing to permed hair to prove they are in space.

I agree with Showbiz, it does look over dramatized, but most Hollywood movies are now anyway. It may be worth a watch. though.

Please say that in English. You're saying they're faked?

Figured this would lure all the Moon landing conspiracy nuts. Was not disappointed.

" Interesting choice that the writers decided not to write any suspense into the script " - Crow (Mystery Science Theater)

I wonder why they didn't choose to use this suite?

yeah i don't think apollo 13 can ever be topped.. still enjoy watching that movie even 23 years later.. hopefully the over dramatization is purely just the trailer trying to sell it's self to the younger audience.

HBO's "From the Earth to the moon" is a better then this movie

Tony Goldwyn as Armstrong and Bryan Cranston as Aldrin was perfect casting. And FTETTM also highlights how Armstrong (and Dave Scott) saved Gemini 8, and Armstrong's near fatality with the LEM trainer. Can't see Gosling coming close to topping this.
