I wouldnt be surprised if there are no cards in stock throughout the lifecycle of the cards.

Pure pipe dream. The 3090 price will remain at or above MSRP for the foreseeable future. Having said that, I'm in your delusional world myself.
Whats msrp for EVGA 3090 ftw3? its on the shelves and has been for at least a week at my local CC for $2400 CDN, a lot of 3090's are in stock an on the shelves.

$1799.99 $1729.99 USD on EVGA.com; that's $2359 $2266 CDN, which is close enough I wouldn't be surprised if EVGA themselves rounded up to the nearest even number for your pricing (or that the Canadian dollar was slightly weaker at the time the price was set).

Edit: Was looking at 3090 FTW3 Ultra, $2400 for the baseline FTW3 is pushing it a bit IMO.

3090 resale value will tank once the 6900XT and 3080 Ti are more readily available (probably late spring next year). Bought mine fully aware that this will more than likely happen, but I just don’t feel like waiting anymore and fighting bots. :)

Import fees/taxes?

Awkward question, but what is the likely-hood that the 3080ti could actually BEAT the 3090 in performance? Looking at the benchmarks between the 3080 and 3090, there seems to be a very slim gap that the 3080ti could even fit into.

I don't but the argument that the 3090 is numerically greater than 3080 so therefore a 3080ti can never be ahead..

I think 3090 demand has been mildly (not completely) satiated. I see restock of the card in the discord I’m a part of multiple times per day on Amazon and Newegg. Usually take 5 minutes to sell or now instead of instant. Also scalper sale prices on the card seem to have plummeted to close to MSRP.

The number of people willing to drop $1500+ on a GPU is low. I expect Nvidia will begin reallocating many of these chips for the 3080 Ti soon, if they haven’t already (and if the 3080 Ti will actually come into fruition).

Do you have a discord link? Because my desire for a 3090 has not been sated :D

I think from a perf standpoint 6900xt and 3090 will trade wins. TBH, the 6900xt numbers were not that impressive compared to the 6800XT which makes me question the $300 price discrepency (especially since it needed both SAM and Rage mode to get those numbers). With the 6800xt reviews, that 6900xt advantage is really really left wanting. Now from a price perspective, it kills the 3090, I don't think RT is that much better on 3090 to warrant the price jump. This makes the 6800xt the sweet spot for a good current game card, the 3080 a nice RT bump and the 3090 and 6900xt in a weird overprice situation over their mainstream contemporaries.

This makes the 6800xt the sweet spot for a good current game card
Once it is possible to find 3070 at the actual $500 price tag is also in consideration for that sweet spot, when looking at $ per fps, because otherwise yes seem a clear winner for the 6800xt:

https://tpucdn.com/review/amd-radeon-rx-6800/images/performance-per-dollar_3840-2160.png

at1440P, $ by average fps, 6800 reference at 100%
3090: 48%
3080: 96%
6800:100%
6800xt: 100%
5700xt: 103%
3070: 109%

At 4K
3090: 51%
3080: 100%
6800:100%
6800xt: 103%
5700xt: 96%
3070: 107%

And that do not considering PSU added cost when that relevant.

Would need review to start releasing some benchmark with optimising setting for the cards (with a good mix of quality and FPS in mind, instead of blind ultra setting) to have a better idea.

can't find the information anywhere, assuming NO, but:

does this support Crossfire? Radeon RX 6800 XT

“The two happiest days in a boat owner's life: the day you buy the boat, and the day you sell the boat.” Heard this applies to airplanes as well. Have a friend that has a 182 and he is constantly dumping money into it for maintenance. That doesn't include operating costs. If you can swing it, it is awesome, but if your budgeting for it...

On topic, looking forward to lower than msrp 3090's in For Sale sections soon.

My grandad used to tell my dad, “if it flies, floats, or fucks, rent it.”

BB just dropped a bunch of 3080s.
I was close but too slow. Interesting a local store had them for immediate pickup.

Buddy of mine was able to secure a 3080 XC3 Ultra from the Best Buy drop. While he was doing that I ordered a 5900X for him from the Best Buy drop at the same time. Got him a full upgrade from a single drop!

Thanks for the post! I managed to get the MSI - GeForce RTX 3070 VENTUS 3X OC BV at $560 + tax. Not sure if that's a good deal on that card specifically, but it was the one available at the time and in the heat of the moment I went for it.

Just got an order successfully placed for a 3090 FE at BB. Shocked.

Edit: And cancelled for exceeding orderable limits. I ordered 1. Not shocked.

Yup, pulled the trigger on a 3090 FE at Best Buy. Saw the other 3090s available as well, in addition to a random 3070. Look to be all sold out now, but we're getting there people.

Best buy came through in a big way today.
They dropped various 3070s, 3080s, 3090s, and dropped all variants of Zen 3. BIG drop today.

Only thing that wasn't present was Big Navi which is surprising as they haven't even sold those at all (even at launch). Still listed as "Coming Soon".

I know it's off topic for this thread but does anybody know or have any guesses if more Zen 3 will be dropped today? Looking for a 5950x, but wasn't sure if I should refresh the page all day :ROFLMAO:

Was able to get a 5600x from BB today. Almost had a 3080 venture but jt stuck on "waiting for more stock". Oh well, half way there.

Micro Center in Columbus Ohio had about 15 ASUS, MSI and Gigabyte (I think) 3070's in stock around 1:30 PM today.
