office 2013 wont install on vista, work around?

a customer has a windows vista machine and needed it to be formatted, she lost the office 2003 disks and she went out and bought 2013. Turns out after she just dropped 140 bucks on it, i cant install it... Any work arounds for this?!

Unfortunately this is accurate... She's going to need to upgrade her OS. If she's got a ".edu" email address Windows 8.1 is only $70...
