I purchased Office 2007 through the Ultimate Steal. I know you are allowed to install it on one desktop and one mobile computer. How about one 32-bit OS and one 64-bit OS? I've got Vista installed on two different desktops (32 and 64) and I was hoping maybe it would be legal that Office could be installed on both as well. I don't want to run into any problems later on by installing and activating it on my 32-bit machine.

Well, the license specifically says one desktop and one mobile. Two desktops would be in violation of that license. The bit version of the OS doesn't matter though.

Sounds like an honor system to me. I can't see how Microsoft would know if you're using a laptop and a desktop anyways.

A lot the licenses are. But you'd be be honoring the agreement if the BSA ever knocks on your door (not they bother individuals).

Boy Scouts of America? OMG no! Keep them away! Please! Not them!
