Odd booting OS slection Vista/Win7

Ok, so I have an odd problem show up this last week, and it has only happened 2 times. I rebooted my computer and headed off to the kitchen to get some tea, I come back to see a screen saying something along the lines of boot fail, device could not be found or some such. I then hit enter and let the PC go through its BIOS and then it came to the OS selection screen, listing Win7 and Vista....But I have Vista on this computer and have never had another OS installed no less Win7. I just blew it off and then I rebooted but 10 mins ago to see the same screen. I checked msconfig to see it had both listed and Win7 marked as default, I deleted it and set Vista as default and hope this fixes the problem and it does not come back. However I was wanting to know if anyone else had heard of or seen something like this before?
