First off let me say if you don't like OCZ don't post it in my thread cuz I just don't care.

Now onto the toys :D I got this thing yesterday for beta testing and so far it's been working well. It comes with a seperate power connector that is shown in the first 3 pics below. Basically there is a passthrough lead for the ATX connector of the motherboard and that is where the booster get's it's power. It runs off the 5V line of the psu. I've run mine all the way upto the max of 3.9V with just a slow 92mm fan over the booster and my ram and everything is still alive. This ram btw is only about a week old so it isn't burned in at all.

Isn't that a whole volt or so over spec? 3.5V... wow.
I wonder how the voltage regulators on the motherboard for the DIMMs will react.

Anyhoo.. tis cool.

Ordered mine today. I can only reach 2.7v now....that does not do shit for me on ocing my Corsair, I can only reach 250 now. I also just purchased some EL 4400..wOOt! Should be a good mix.

insane... that works in all motherboards? how much is it going to run?

It was $58. It does not work on all mobos. You need to check OCZ site to see if yours is listed.

No OCZ has a list of tested and approved motherboards. I don't remember right now, but the DFI nForce II series definetely are not compatible...because their stock voltage regulators are already so overclocked (3.3v stock out of box), they fried it with the OCZ booster.

From what i've heard it's because of overvoltage protection kicking in on the board
