Nvme Crucial p3 plus 2 TB firmware fail

I was lucky to get the deal on the P3 plus 2 tb drive for my pc from amazon.
This runs very cool even with not heat spreader.
Only issue i have is with the storage executive app fails to update its firmware just getting a code 44.
 
I've given up doing firmware on SSDs for some time now.

The reason being most of the update apps are junk. They either don't detect the very drive they were designed for or just fail the drive.

Never noticed a difference after any that I did update anyway.

If I remember right, you have to have a file writing to it and then start the update.
 
my 1tb came up to date, so i didnt run into this prob. are you running the app as admin?
 
Odd now firmware is up to date..
no idea what happened maybe it did write it but a reboot was needed.
it is odd, not sure what happened.

I have had zero issues with the drive , so that is good anyway.
