I guess the only way to get this from any video card is going to be a display port to HDMI adapter then?

This would be nice if you could us an adapter for it. I am not sure if that would work or not. I know my 980 GTX will do 4k@30hz at 4:4:4 chroma, but like the 10 series 60hz does not work.
 
Everything until the 10 series didn't support 10 bit in non DX applications aka desktop etc. Which is why I loved AMD cards for cheaper semipro/editing/gaming in one rigs.
TLDR: nvidia jewed everyone until this series to force them to buy quadro even if they didn't need compute

Actually, re-reading this, in this specific case, it is because HDMI can't do 4k/60 10 bit, it doesn't have the bandwidth. Dp or nothing or wait till HDMI 59.634b

I thought HDMI 2.0 can do 4K/60Hz 10-bit 4:4:4 chroma?
 
I'm pretty sure this works with my 1080Ti. It also worked with my 780Ti using a DP to HDMI 2.0 adapter.

I'll check when I'm home in a couple of days and report back.

I'm running 444 4K @ 60 Hz, tech support is probably just not understanding the hardware.

No it can do it only at 8-bit. For 10 bit you have to drop down to 4:2:2.

I don't know what that Nvidia email is on to. Nvidia's have had HDMI 2.0 for quite some time (even the humble GT1030 has it with quick googling) and that supports 4K @ 60hz with 4:4:4 chroma. Even Maxwells supported it. Keplers however did not from what I remember. I conclude that support email is gravely mistaken.

I don't often agree with Shintai but this is one of those times (was just about to post a similar chart so thanks). HDMI 2.0 is not capable of 4k60 10bit 4:4:4 /thread.
Often people will say or tv will say they are 4:4:4 4k/60 10bit but not checking/verifying it. It's impossible due to bandwidth limitations.

OP didn't say anything about 10-bit, though.
 
4:4:4 60@10bit is not possible on HDMI 2.0b, but even a 960 can do 4:4:4 60@8bit. I think OP is mis-informed and nVidia likely meant @ 10bit or higher.
