Nvidia today announces the Titan RTX; the new top model in the Turing generation. According to Nvidia this puppy offers 130 teraflops of deep learning computing power and 11 gigaray of raytracing.

The press release mentions 576 tensor cores and 72 raytracing cores, slightly more than the RTX 2080 Ti with it's 544 and 68 values respectively. The video memory has doubled to 24 GB gddr6, for a total bandwidth of 672 GB/sThe unit will be based on the TU102 GPU. Two Titan RTX GPUs can be used together due to the presence of a 100 GB/s NVLink connection. The cards have three displayport connections, a single HDMI port and VirtualLink.

The TITAN RTX is very much focused on deep learning developers and AI researchers who work with larger neural networks and data sets, so for gamers, the RTX 2080 Ti is still the premier card.

And to think I refrained from calling them NGreedia prior to this, but $2499? You are officially in the 100%+ markup range over the last gen products now. AND they just tricked the uber-high end crowd into buying a 2080Ti two months ago.
It's cheaper than the Titan V, which is a win from a prosumer prospective. Though it looks like it's further away from the top tier Quadro than the V was, which is disappointing. This is obviously not strictly a gaming card contrary to what the Titan has been since Maxwell.
 
But if you buy more, you'll save more.
People love throwing this around as a joke, but it makes sense from an industry perspective. Take the DGX-2, for example: it would cost around $2,000,000 to buy a traditional HPC cluster with the same amount of compute performance as the $399,000 DGX-2. Not only that, but the amount of power consumed by the DGX-2 is a magnitude less than an HPC cluster, meaning you're not only saving on the initial investment cost but also over the entire lifespan of the hardware. Also factoring in maintenance cost, support, etc.

Jensen never used the "the more you buy, the more you save" line during a GeForce press conference or presentation.

off-topic: We got 4 or so of those DGX-1s in at work. I don't what we're gonna do with them, but my god are they pretty. They look like they should be driving a 64 impala in a rap video.

Alright, that's a bit better. At least they're only really marketing it as a prosumer card. It's a bit confusing why we're seeing it in the hands of influencers though (not that they couldn't put them to use). It seems like they are typically only sent gaming GPUs.
