When I first read about DLSS I was excited. It was actually the most interesting feature of RTX cards for me. But it has been one disappointment after another. HWUB are fairly rigorous and unbiased testers, their DLSS results in BF5 are an unbelievable fail. All this AI technology and ML training on supercomputers and they end result is clearly worse than simple upscaling. AMD should just encourage devs to decouple the HUD resolution from 3D resolution, and have a couple of tweakable generic scalers for gamers, and they would beat DLSS with a solution that just worked everywhere. Heads should be rolling at NVidia, after this dismal demonstration of their technology.
