Unless AMD goes chiplet with RDNA 3 I doubt NVIDIA will. There’s still plenty of life left in large monolithic designs.

And chiplets will show up in the professional / HPC space long before gaming. Those workloads are at supercomputer scale so sharing data between chiplets is no big deal.

Games engines are a whole different story.
