Things are starting to get interesting here. I really hope Nvidia pulls it off.
I think the issue is mostly old legacy software. Anything big and current will port to ARM no problem (talking like Photoshop, MS Office, Spotify, or whatever). Especially if Apple and Microsoft are pushing for it.
It will be sad for many games on Steam, or older titles that are not digital will be abandoned. But we can still play DOS games today, so I'm sure there will be emulators that can get better over time.
