This is a huge win for Linux. No more dual booting on my gaming computer. One more step closer to the dream of 100% native gaming compatibility on Linux.

Unfortunately, never gonna happen. Nvidia's got a mess of IP in their GPUs, drivers, and firmware, and they're not interested in giving even a peep hole at any of it.

Their arm drivers/hardware are in better shape, but that doesn't do much good for us desktop people.

I would still be hesitant to go with a nvidia GPU for passthrough. All of my AMD cards have been rock solid under multiple hypervisors. I also found amd linux drivers behave abit better.
