Here is a thread from a different forum Link It seems that IBM is sending out newer hardware with some sort of TPM (Trusted Platform Module) Well when you try to load the driver for it the computer locks up and as far as I know there is no simple fix for it without completely redoing an image. This only applies to images that were created with sysprep.

If you read through the article it will give you sort of a better explantion of what is going on, it has to do with the HAL. Just wondering if anyone has heard about this! TIA :)

BTW this is on a T43 laptop and is also confirmed on an S51 desktop.

We run IBM laptops, so I want to see where this goes when I have more time. :)

<SHAMELESSPLUG>If you bought HP's, you wouldn't have this problem! I am loving my new nc6220.</SHAMLESSPLUG>

I talked to IBM and they said because the "platform" does not match it locks up. So seems like a new image has to be built for these computers that come with this great TPM device. Ill let you know for sure when im done with the image
