Now Hiring: Chief Pornography Identification Officer

200,000 RMB = 32k USD. So basically, the same salary I got out of college with no experience at a job that didn't require a degree.

That said, porn.

As tempting as it might sound, it isn't much of a career path. Dead end job.

And what if you see your wife/daughter/mom in one of the movies?

Bingo. China wants someone to set the standard for what can and cannot be seen in porn. For example, child pornography. Is it moral to exploit children for more than just labor? Where do you draw the line? 13? 16? 18? 21? 25? Which secondary sex characteristics need to be identified before an investigation into the breach of the law takes off? What fines or penalties are appropriate for said infractions? Is it possible to track porn? Can that tracking mechanism survive intense scrutiny? Can you "rate" porn like we do movies here in the US? (Please, no PG-13 jokes) What kind of labels would need to be created? Who do you reach out to in the government to try and get the ratings enforced?

It sounds like a job. An interesting and different job, to be sure, but a job none the less.
