I just installed Windows 7 on my 3 year old Lenovo V100 notebook today. Even before installing it, i always had a overheating problem which caused my system to automatically shutoff during peak usage. However, I used to limit my cpu speed using Notebook Hardware Control. This temporarily fixed the problem.

However, after installing windows 7, the problem came back again. I installed NHC but it doesnt seem to like Windows 7 and it doesnt load on start up. Is there anyway of underclocking the cpu in windows without using the BIOS, cause my lenovo doesnt have any settings for it.

Thanks!!
