Noooo Dang Corel.

How are Corel going to screw up PaintShop? Everyone seems perfectly happy with
former MetaCreations products. Besides ... how would a producer of software with a
bigger function set screw up a software product with a much smaller function set?

By making it bloatware. They might add to much junk to it making it more resource hungry like Corel Draw....

Let us then both kneel before the shrine of JASC and Adobe and pray:

"Please do not let Corel Corporation violate the special niche PaintShopPro has carved
for itself in the market by adding 'bloatware' features and tampering with the simple to use
interface. Instead let them focus their energies on their flagship applications, allowing PSP
to gracefully and gently reach the end of it's product lifecycle, entering the hallowed halls
of such great graphic legacies as Image72 and zPaint."

Strange, you consider CorelDraw to be resource hungry, but consider using Adobe
Photoshop, first this is a flawed comparison, since CorelDraw is a vector illustration tool,
you might have meant to say CorelPhotoPaint, in which case you are again erring, since I
seriously doubt that CorelPhotoPaint uses more resources than Adobe PhotoShop. I can
however confess that Corel could learn a lesson or two from Adobe when it comes to the
speed of brushes. ;)

O, and what exactly stops you from continuing to use PSP? :p
