Well I've seen this type of thread done somewhere in the past, but haven't come across it [H]ere. I know there are a lot of sick air cooling rigs on here that would love to share.

What do you guys think??

I don't have a personal pic to start off, but I found this one pretty, i dunno

LOL, mine is a mess, but my window is pointed towards my desk so i dont mind it being a mess.

tuniq tower with a scythe s-flex at 1500rpm.

runs quiet. temps wont hit 53c if i tried.
q6700 @ 3.0ghz.

i guess pelteir cooling is a form of air cooling so i'll post up my rig... the huge thing attached to the side is actually an air ionizer, thing is is moves some SERIOUS CFM, i have it blowing across the vid card, NB sink, and pelteir sink..

temps:

ghetto cooling at it's finest:

is that a Tuniq CPU cooler? If so, how do ya like it? Mine gets here tomorrow

It gets the job done. Got my e8400 at 3.6ghz right now with 1.184. It idles around mid 20's and high 40's for load. I did change out the stock fan though, the stock fan is waaaay too loud on high and move too little air on low.

Too lazy to pull the box out from under the desk and use my good SLR, but here's mine (nothing particularly special about it):

pic.jpg

(Unlapped) X3360 @ 8.5x400 = 3.60 GHz; Vcc=1.12500V, VTT=1.31V, NB Vcore=1.37 V, Strap=266/667
DFI LT P35-T2R (no mods)
(Unlapped) TRUE with SFF21F (1600 RPM S-FLEX)
Corsair Dominator DDR2-1066 | (TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF)
2x 2Gb @ 5-5-5-15 (performance level 6) @ 1,003 MHz (4:5) @ 2.100V
Corsair HX620 in a P182

Cable management isn't great, but I'm happy with it. I'm most proud of the little $3 fan cooling the NB. You can't tell from the pic above, but a ziptie holds it on the factory HS and believe it or not, this little, silent fan dropped the temps on the NB pretty substantially.

mind if I ask what you replaced it with? I've heard that the stock fan is too loud in a few places now, might end up doing the same and replacing it.

Mkay...here's my setup. My Thermaltake Aguila midtower runs pretty cool though the harddrive cage on the bottom right is kind of a flawed design. I have 2 hard disks up in the 5.25 bays (1 in a 3.5 bay at the top and another w/ a 3.5 - 5.25 adapter). I added a 3rd hard drive so I put the cage back in. The front intake fan and the rear exhaust fans are Antec 120mm fans. The front fan I modded so it could be controlled by the Abit FanEQ controls - otherwise it would scream at 2040rpm or so. The rear fan isn't monitored but I'm pretty sure it maxes out around 1500rpm (it's pretty quiet). The Tuniq Tower fan is stock and is controlled by FanEQ, as are two 40mm 8000rpm fans on the pwm and northbridge. A 92mm fan sits to the right of the Tuniq Tower to help bring in air from the window fan for the TT. The Window fan is a 3 speed Antec 92mm fan that normally I keep at medium unless I'm running prime95.

Needless to say, my case is crowded and I probably need to get a full tower at some point. I wrapped up most of the psu cables using cable wrap, but it's still not pretty. The rest of the PSU cables are hidden on the other side of the case inside the panel. Using the FanEQ, the whole setup is relatively quiet and only ramps up when cpu / pwm / mobo temps get to certain points. One result of my mod of the red 120mm intake fan is that the led light strength varies with fan speed hehe. Anyway so thats my rats nest. Current temps are shown below the case pics. Note Realtemp core temps are about 5C lower than what Everest says.

i think i win the coolest cpu award...even though i some of you guys are clocked way higher than me.... and im pelteir cooled...

i dont know if it's my board or chip holding me back...could even be my psu...max i can hit is 3.71GHz stable..

Yeah I wish I could do some exotic cooling ...alas time / money is never in sync haha. But still, those are nice temps ..esp w/ a Pentium D. I need a bigger case and better cable management. Some of your cases are so pretty and clean inside!!

Got my CM690 the Tuesday before last, and painted the back & inside black, hehe. Oh, as for the missing DVD Drive, well I was gonna sell it to an uncle, but his case is black also, but I found a black dvd/cd-drive around here, I might take another pic and post it in the Cm690 thread or something.

Lapped Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme, with a 120x38mm Panaflo H1. The rest of the fans are scythe S-Flex 1600RPM. Oh and the two 80mm fans at the back are coolermaster ball bearing fans. With my clean wiring job the case is rather turbulent. :D Rigs specs are in my sig.

Don't mind the mess, was the night of the build, and was trying to Diagnose what turned out to be a DOA Hard drive... Also forgot to take the Athlon 64 sticker off from my old setup. :D

Here's mine...

Just replaced dead P5B-Plus with P5Q PRO, installed Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme with Noctua NF-P12 fan.

Also replaced the noisy ST60F ADDA Fan (broken bearing I thought) wih Noctua NF-P12... It looks bolder, doesn't it?
