no signal going to monitors on booting? help please

When I start my PC, which has 2 monitors and runs on XP, it shows the normal booting sequence, then the windows XP loading screen, then no signal goes to either monitor once Windows starts. This has never happened before today.

Help to fix this would be greatly appreciated, cheers.
 
It would often help if you write which connection you use (DVI or VGA), and monitor model. :)

Anyway, problems with booting 2 monitors that works into xp often can be resolved by simply switching cables on the inputs on your GFX card. This causes a redetection of the screens. Afterwards, you can switch off and change back again if you prefer the current setup. :)
 
I hate when people fail to pop-up to tell us the problem is solved :-/ Or maybe his computer totally broke down :) :(
 
sorry, I was asleep, I'm from NZ. no, swapping the cables over didn't help.

any other suggestions?
 
What about starting the OS in the safe mode? (Press F8 before the XP loading screen starts.)
