No More Red Hat Desktop Sub

You can get a developer license for the server version, and install it as 'server with desktop'.

Perhaps not ideal, but could hold you over for CentOS 8.0, which I'm waiting for too.

Also, why not Fedora 29 or Fedora 30?

Really, this. Fedora has been great for the most part.

I'm running a developer license of RHEL on a server at home already. I have Fedora on my laptop that rarely gets used. I had planned/wanted to use Red Hat directly, because we're contemplating licensing it for some enterprise uses. So, I'll probably stick with Fedora for now and give CentOS 8.0 a try once it's released.

That might be my best option. I have a box running ESXi, but I'm toying around with running a server OS on it that supports virtualization. Red Hat charges for their product.
