I turned on my Win10 desktop this morning and found that it wasn't getting a DHCP address. I set a static and still could not access the web or my router. Swapped the cable, plugged directly into my router instead of going through the wall, rebooted, updated the NIC driver, tried safe mode with networking, nothing. Everything else plugged into my router is working fine, and my desktop has worked fine for... well forever. There have been no recent Win10 updates.

Any ideas before I reload Windows? :(

What do the system logs say about the issue?

Nothing apparent. Just a bunch of entries from when I was swapping the cables around.

Reloading Windows didn't help. Out of curiosity I tried a Linux Live CD and that works fine.

I guess I'll buy a PCI network card and try that, but none of this makes any sense.
