No information given... Ghost and then Refund *Paypal ruled in my favor

I think readers are getting confused by the partial accounting. You were paid $385 for a 8086k, z390 board, and noctua cooler (with win 10 license) and they shipped the entire kit back to you as part of the dispute. You're offering to issue the refund of ~$225 based on the returned noctua cooler and 8086k chip still being useable (presumably), with the understanding that you're holding them accountable for the destroyed motherboard's new retail price.

Ok this makes more sense. Yeah in that case, refund him the money for the other parts (less shipping costs incurred) and then he can either pay for the return of the broken board or dump it..or maybe take a drill to it and make an ornament out of it.
 
That's a shame because I think I sold Terpsy that board/CPU in the first place ;).
 
As I said earlier, If PayPal ruled in your favor ask them what they prefer. I’d keep the money and return the stuff to him and let him deal with everything.
