Either it's not really being controlled by the Power Glove or it's been significantly modified. No way controlling a drone with an original Power Glove wouldn't result in it crashing.

Well, yeah. There's been accelerometer mods for the power glove for years. Most are kind of difficult to do, but it can be done with roughly $100 for an arduino and other parts.
