"Fight Club" should be so secretive....
Nintendo NX Core "Idea" Is Why Nintendo Cannot Talk About It Yet
With the intense and incredible success of Pokemon Go I am wondering if there will be a NX tie in. If so NX adoption could be much larger than anyone expects.
Imagine....if the Nintendo NX allows some avenue to enhance PGO gameplay...the implications are mind boggling.....
Yeah, could you imagine a 'full Pokemon' game (trading, battling, etc) combined with Go's GPS AR gameplay? It would be huge. The mobile version would act as a trojan hose for the premium NX version.
Perhaps that is what the secret controller is on the NX a limited use gaming "phone" that you can take with you to play GO and integrate with the console version.
Could Nintendo be that brilliant?
I remember a year or so ago, there were rumours going around that Nintendo was developing a system using an Android-based OS. Nintendo was quick to poopoo those rumors, but their own dedicated hardware platform (perhaps with premium editions of their mobile software, NX console connectivity, etc) combined with a software platform that includes other consumer mobile devices would be huge.
Remember the N-Gage? I think a full blown cell phone push would be a huge mistake for them. A 4G-WiFi controller would be a great idea. Hell the Vita had a 3G version.
The longer they delay talking bout it, the more I think I'm probably not going to like it.
Yeah, while the smartphone marketplace looks quite a bit different when the N-Gage was released (not sure if Android or even 'app stores' were much of a thing then), going full blown cellphone probably wouldn't be a great idea. Too many variables, and I think the price of it would put the smartphone out of the hands of their main audience (youths). I think they'd more likely build something 4G/Wifi-enabled inhouse and have an outside company build a smartphone based on it (like what they did with Panasonic and their 'Q').
Yeah, the vague/non information has me worried Nintendo isn't even entirely sure what they want to release.
Some more rumors from 'sources'. Pretty sure we've heard them before: portable system that can be connected to a tv using a docking station, detachable controllers, cartridges, Tegra powered - the September reveal date is news to me, though.
Nintendo’s NX is a portable console with its own display
A next-gen Tegra with a Pascal GPU would be about twice as powerful, wouldn't it?
