Remember the story about the low-life scumbag that stole all the consoles from the Children's Cancer Ward? Well Nikki Sixx heard about it and has stepped up in a huge way:

Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue had recently been involved with the Pablove Foundation for a Charity Event to fund Pediatric Cancer. When Nikki Sixx read about what happened at the Children’s Cancer Ward he decided to do something. With the help of his Syndicated Radio Show, the “Sixx Sense” he reached out to Sony, Disney, Activision, and Nintendo. As soon as Those 4 companies heard what had happened, they rushed to donated replacement consoles as well as games to the Carolinas Medical Center Children’s Cancer Ward. EA Games and Microsoft also stepped in a big way as well by donating X-box 360 consoles and games.

That's not the end of the good news either, the Providence Division Police Department have announced that they have arrested a suspect in connection with the crime as well.

Sgt. Rich Stahnke and the rest of the officers of the Providence Division Police Department took this crime personally and put forth an all out effort to catch this criminal. These heroes took Suspect Charles Hinton into custody on December 18th. I wanted to send you an update so that people know that although the country is going through a tough time, we always pull together somehow and help someone get back up when they have fallen down. only for Nikki to immediately leave the ER to go shoot up even more heroine?

"Sixx" sense, or sick sense? He can stay the F away from kids!

(Although not nearly as bad as Vince Neil drinking on stage during a concert while on probation for killing someone while driving drunk, and still laughs about it all over 20 years later...)

I don't care what it was he did in the past as far as drug use goes - and I'm not posting this like his act was some kind of redemption for his past actions. The fact still remains that this was one hell of a good deed for someone to step up and do. Apparently no one else had the class to do it, but a former druggie does.

What you're all missing is it required someone to be stolen before any big company did anything. Would be cool if big corps did this proactively. A story like this is nice, but not as nice as random acts of kindness.
 
Along the same lines, of helping out sick children, my favorite charity is Child's Play/ since not only does it benifit sick children but you can select the hospital you wish to donate to an buy them a specific item from their wish list.

No. What YOU are missing is the fact that there is an absolute shitload of charities. I think last time they checked, no company donated more to charities than Microsoft. Expecting them to do so for every single one is ridiculous.
 
awww what a great way to advertise a syndicated radio show that noone has ever heard of but now you do because it's tied to this endearing story about helping children........YES it was a great thing to do, but I see what you did there nick....
 
I see what he did there, making it appear publicly that he's some kind hearted rock star. On the other hand i'm just glad someone decided to give something to the children. My young nephew has cancer and he's in and out of hospitals and extended treatments are really painful. Wanna know what can put a smile on the face of a child receiving chemotherapy? Thats right, a god damn Nintendo. DarkStar_WNY also brought up a good point, if you have a local children's hospital you should definitely check out the childs play charity.
 
Well. I think his radio show is absolute shit. But so was David Lee Roth's and i still like that guy so... Having said that. Who gives a shit about what he's done in the past during his music career? He stepped up and made life a little better for a bunch of poor kids that have dealt with more hardship than anybody should have to. He took a stand for the helpless!

Way to go Nikki!!!! Way to make things right for the victems. Probably the most innocent kids you'll ever meet. And the last people on earth that motherfucking worthless pieces of goddamn shit should choose to rob.

But a lot of large corporations do things like this all the time. Most of them hire people just to deal with their charity or out reach programs. You don't hear about it because no one makes a big deal about it anymore. On a side note how is a Motley Crew member now a corporation?

The end result is that a good deed was done for the kids, despite any hidden agendas or past history. It would be nice if more good deeds were done regardless.

Can we leave the "Hate and disgust" for another thread, at least someone stepped up to the plate and helped out instead of sitting back and doing nothing, which is more than I can say about most people these days (I work retail and see shit loads of asshats).
So thank you to the [H] members that stepped up and said something to some of the people that had nothing good to contribute to a Good deed.

I for one am happy someone stepped up to the plate and hope this moves forward and spreads to others.. Ok maybe wishful thinking.

Well, that sounded funnier in my head. Glad someone did something for them, I don't care if it was Nikki Six or Ghandi, it was a kind thing to do.
 
What makes me smile about this is:

1. The generosity.

2. The wretched piece of sub-human shit that did this is going to get his ass handed back to him in little smoking bits when the other inmates get done with him. You don't hurt kids, period.

Not to knock the guy for his effort, but I'd be more impressed if he'd actually bought all those things himself. I work in a hospital myself and normal people are always donating computers and stuff to the children's ward or wherever a family member has been treated. And they don't get a picture in the paper.

It's certainly a decent gesture and all. I'm just saying.

I'm not condoning badmouthing Mr. Sixx but I will admit its kinda funny he sent them a bunch of pics of himself.

I'm trying imagine a 7 year old cancer kid opening a present and it being a picture of nikki sixx. "What the hell is this?" *toss* "yay XBOX!"
