nHancer version 2.5.9 is out for download.
New features in version 2.5.9

Added new Anti-Aliasing modes introduced with the GTX cards. These modes seem to work with older GeForce cards as well, even though the control panel doesn't offer them. The new modes are:
32x (4xMS + 32 coverage samples)
32xQ (8xMS + 32 coverage samples. Is listed as "32x" in nVidia's control panel)
SLI 64x and SLI 64xQ
The new 2x, 4x and 8x transparency supersampling modes
Removed the BlackBytes registry component. Instead, nHancer now uses the RegistryMonitor written by Thomas Freudenberg. Thanks a lot!
The installation tool has been improved
Small fixes and adaptions for the current drivers

As someone who has never heard of this...what exactly does it do? It is a replacement for the NCP? Is it worthwhile getting?

It doesn't replace Control Panel, it offers setting CP doesn't.

It's the ultimate tool for tweaking game profiles and hidden settings. Back when the NCP wouldn't find games, this did.

It's the go-to tool. It offers custom SLI compatibility settings and combined AA settings.

Does it fix the Nvidia current driver issue of applying grid SS instead of MS+SS transparency AA in DX10 and 11?

I enabled 16xCSAA with 2xSS TR AA in Bad Company 2 and it looks amazing, still runs at 60 FPS (VSync) too. But I don't know if it's 'correct.'
