Just like the cheap (about to be discontinued) 7990 and 295x2 I've passed up before I'm assuming these will only be available used after this. Want to get it but next gen is so close, and Vega is still a heat/power monster.

I played a lot of games with my 64 OC'd to 1750/1150ish at 4k. It's about on a par with a highly Factory OC'd 1080 to a stock 1080ti (*IF* THE GAME is AMD Optimised)...VEGA 1.0 REALLY needs a high HBM clock to overcome it's limitations but it's a great card for the price. It's guaranteed to be a great die and Samsung HBM which clocks to the moon! Just keep your HBM temps under 70c for long term use.

You can make VEGA perform better then sby review with 2/3rd of the power with a few tweaks.

I might have jump on it,

I sold my radeon VII for good cause, and been looking for something kinda close.

Is warranty worth it? It does say no returns and 30 day exchange only and 90 day warranty

I play at 1440p. I set a clock speed of 1732 with an undervolt. The card is 1750mhz default but voltage is too high so it never reacheds that speed. I can run at 1750 with an undervolt, but it can't maintain that speed unless it stays under 45c. It's usually around 50c.

HBM speed helps more than core clock though I can get 1150mhz HBM, which helps

No idea what you're talking about here but I know about the UV tweaks. 250W is still a ton for southern summers and I'm still betting on new arch 7nm to get that down from either company (now that Nvidia finally supports Freesync to some degree).

Sorry was a mobile typo. I meant to say "better then "nearly" (since GN did undervolt etc) any review".

I spent 34 yrs living in an area with 95-110F 100% humidity summers and had no issues cooling even tripled Overvolted 290s with the magic of AC.

You guys that think the insane power different of 50W (say between a 200 and 250W card) is Earth shattering are kind of amusing. It's literally less power then a 60W light bulb and I bet you used to use plenty of those before CCFL AND LED no?

You are correct that we are all waiting for new 7nm+ cards, or even the new "6nm" density improved process coming soon but for 99% of us, it is for what matters most: performance. If you want a card that pulls a certain amount of power, then buy that but you aren't going to get a 2080TI in a 1650 power envelope in the next 10 years unless Si goes the way of the DoDo bired.

(I mean zero offense, it's just funny to see the power bashers arrive in AMD threads but defend Nvidia and Intel on their rampant power uses which ezceeed their marketing numbers by 2-3.5x)

I dont mind power useage, i mean 4k is hard gpu, Im thinking picking this up, its with-in 10% of Radeon VII, that card made everything smooth.

I judt dont want regret it, I'm going buy WB for either this Vega 64 LC or go back and buy radeon VII

How long did it last? Gouging resellers normally jump on these deals and clear out the stock within minutes. If they do come back in stock, any person who just wants one to actually use will have to be lucky to get in before the bots buy them out again.
