.....Meh.
Meh +2. Buy an openbox mobo for your enemy, not yourself/friends/family.
I heard somewhere that all Asus open box boards at newegg are from manufacturer RMA and will never include accessories.Open boxes from Newegg are a bit of a lottery thing. Some come with all accessories, some come with nothing. I've seen people get totally new in box items. Crapshoot pretty much

so you order the i/o shield for $10 at the ASUS estore, that's still a damn good board for $80...

good to know there's a chance, I was doubtful it was truecan't be, i got a p5k micro itx in box in new condition from an open box. Came with box and all accessories still in plastic.
never had any problems with open box and only one of the open box motherboards i have purchased have ever not included the accessories
You agree that "Refurbished products and open box for the most part are great" but then you say Toaster Oven has a valid point that refurbished products and open box are "garbage"?You're right. Refurbished products and open box for the most part are great. And I believe you when you say yours have all been good. But he makes a valid point and you bit his head off. What the heck?
i got accessories with the few open box boards ive ordered from them in the past, guess i was just lucky ?

You can get them for $85 or less shipped, used or new on the FS forums. If you pay $124.99 for this board out the door, you're wasting your money. I paid $119.99 7 months ago and even when I sold it 5 months ago, the prices had already fallen much lower than that on the FS forums (I sold mine on eBay and got back almost what I paid).I picked this up when they had it for $69 a few months ago along with free shipping, I was waiting for it to have free shipping or come down a bit when they were at $74.99 a long time. Mine came with no accessories but has been running great. My last 5 mbs have been newegg open box deals, never had a DOA board. This board is $124.99 with a $15 MIR, even if you get your MIR were not talking 'just a few dollars more' for a new one.
Just got mine today. Came in a brown box with a label that seemed to come from Asus itself. Bare board in a anti-static bag. Fired it right up. No problems.
Why would I get an open box mobo when for about the same price I can purchase a brand new equally nice mobo with all included accessories, full warranty, generous return policy, and is guaranteed not to be somebody's test bench beater? LOL...
