Previous setup - http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1602509
So I gave my previous build to my little brother and decided to build another one.
AND! This will be my first time going water cooling!
Hope you guys enjoy the pics/process.
Buddy (thanks to Gravey) had a radiator and cpu block laying around that he picked up from the forums used and decided not to finish the project so I decided to man up and take over!
Purchased all the remaining parts...
All parts ready to go.
CPU Water Block had some wear and tear
Took them apart to prep for cleaning
Old dye coloring from previous owner
Pump installed in Resevoir
Left the parts overnight in Distilled Vinegar
Took apart the stock GPU cooler. Prepped and ready for the GPU Block
12 hours later
Compression fittings installed on the CPU block
Tighten all the compression fittings with a micro fiber towel to prevent scratches on the fittings.
Drowned tubings in hot water for more flexibility
Test fitted the tubings before tightening the fittings (flushed all parts with distilled water)
Ready for the liquid!
Distilled Water with a Kill Coil
Air bubbles of doom... Air bubbles went away after 3-4 hours and the pump is COMPLETELY silent (I thought it died!)
Front of the 800D with XSPC Resevoir installed
Drum roll please!
Currently @ 4.8GHZ with 100% Load (Prime 95) @ 63C max. Looking good so far...
3770k
Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
XSPC Resevoir /w MCP655-B pump (Distilled water with Kill Coil)
Swiftech CPU Block
Dangerden GPU Block
Bitspower Compression Fittings
16GB Gskill ram
ATi 5870 Card (Temporary!)
Intel 330 256GB SSD
7TB+ storage drives
Open to suggestions and comments!
Btw. I apologize for the horrible camera quality... all pics were taken with the iPhone4S other than the last 2!
