Looking for a new laptop in the $1500 with the best specs I can get....any RTX models out there yet in a decent price range?

Maybe MSI? I have a GS63VR with a 1060 and its been reliable as hell. Probably gonna pick up a used GS65 with a 2070 this spring. I see them pop up for like 1500 every now and then.

I just ordered as of 2 hrs ago on HP's website, an Omen 15T Model With 15.6" Screen 144hz Gsync panel, 16gb ram, RTX 2070 Max Q, 256gb nvme ssd boot drive, LED keyboard, etc... for 1300$ and used the paypal credit option for FREAKING 0% Interest for 24months!!!!!! A DEAL NO ONE COULD HAVE PUT DOWN... That GPU will murder my games at 1080p no problem!! Cant wait to get this

The Lenovo Legion Y740 15" is currently in that price range. Has a nice 500 nits 144hz G-Sync screen with RTX options of 2060 and 2070 MaxQ. You should be able to combine it with ebates cash back. Be warned that the 9th gen models are having some dodgy thermal paste installs so you may need to repaste it, as well the 1660ti model advertises G-Sync but does not support it currently and may never get it. The RTX 2060 and 2070 models are fine in that regard.

best part of the new laptops is that the old models can be had for $700ish on clearance and that is where the deals are.

the HP omen is 150$ cheaper and has a rtx 2070 max q GPU..... Might want to spend 5 mins on HP's site and configure it up and use the coupon code and see whats up...

holy crap, where did you find that at?

holy crap, where did you find that at?
It is less impressive when you find out
I had the the m.2 960 and fire cuda already
And bought the rest separately from amazon.

For 1551 direct from eluktronics with 5% off code for purchases over 1600
I got
The mech 17
The 9750H
Rtx 2070
Cooler master gel on both GPU and CPU this is one of few mods from them that if you do yourself warranty is void so paid 25 for better goop
A Samsung nvme 128gb m.2 was free so snagged it
This ends the 1551 price
I picked up 32gb ram for 130 eluk wanted 300 for that much so amazon is where I went.
I put my old 500gb 960 in in place of the 128gb and I had the firecuda as well.

Still to buy off the shelf the same thing would have been like 2100 I ended up at around 1670 plus old parts from my previous lappy. I could have shaved out 124 from the price but I grabbed a 90 day no dead pixel guaranteed and upgraded thermal paste.

Best deal right now in my opinion:

Dell Outlet (Refurbished) G7 15" 7790 for $966 - 13% with Promo Code 13DelPri5cw6 makes it $840.42 before tax (extra 2% off if you place the order over chat)

Looks like the G7 above is gone now. It's $1,074 now for the same specs as below. Link is here:

  1. i7-9750H
  2. 256GB MIe NVME
  3. 1TB 5400RPM
  4. 15.6" 1080p 60hz 300 nit display
  5. RTX 2060 6GB
I just got one of these and it's by MILES the best RTX laptop you can by right now... That being said however, if you DO get one of these know you'll have to repaste and undervolt. And don't be afraid to do it... repasting this thing was super easy. This was the first time i've ever done it too and I posted my results here: https://hardforum.com/threads/dell-...d-1st-timer-now-i-am-a-true-believer.1986508/

I had the previous generation G7, the 7588, and that thing would have been way too much of a hassle to get the heatpipes off but this thing was just 7 screws and that's it.

I bought the i7-8750H model of the above and this thing is the best laptop i've ever owned now... the differences some new thermal paste alone made was insane and the undervolt just turned this thing into the deal of the century. Incredible performance, great build quality, and the thermals now are just incredible. I added a fast 1TB NVME drive to mine and an additional 8GB of RAM and overall it's cost me like $1100 now (it's actually a lot less for me b/c of some cash back I had)... plus if you chat with Dell Order Support and place the order through them you get an additional 2% off your order so your coupon code of 13% off goes to 15%. They also upgraded me to a year of premium support for $10 for chatting. Oh and I also got cash back from Rakuten. I think right now they're doing 6% cash back from Dell Outlet. Amazing deal imo.
