Guru3D has pushed out a new official release of Afterburner. I would put a lot verbiage in about what Afterburner is, but let's face it, you already know if you are [H].

Hello everybody, today we have released MSI Afterburner 4.5.0, in this version we further extend on the OSD graphs, the ability to plot graphics on-screen including frame times, FPS, Voltages but also introduce a number new features and fixes. Also the hardware monitoring module has been improved. MSI AfterBurner is a graphics card tweaking utility developed at Guru3D.com that will work very specifically for MSI graphics cards, but most other brands are supported as well. AfterBurner works with both Nvidia GeForce and AMD Radeon graphics cards.

Been a while since I played with it...sounds like a good time to take it out for a spin.

Still the one piece.of software I would do vile things to have on Linux. There is no good option that replaces it. I even offered to pay MSI to bring it on Linux once but they turned me down.

I completely agree half the time I find it easier to OC the cards on a test windows rig and just flash the vbios with the changes before moving the card back

haste.

Well seems like a good time to take the 20 seconds to download the 30 mb file since I'm still on 4.0. Haven't played around with it yet, but like everytime I eventually update Afterburner, feels like the same thing! (I'm sure there are upgrades - I generally don't dig too deep and am still on a 980ti so no compat issues).

Thanks for the heads up. I was going to go checking because I noticed on the weekend after the last NV driver update that once again some things weren't showing in the onscreen overlay.

It's ugly IMO with odd un-intuitive gauges, graphics, buttons, and their placement. The old red dragon theme is less gaudy. I'd still use it, unless Unwinder surprises us with an updated Rivatuner with updated simple graphics.
