Title says it all really.

My 9x is reaching the end of its life. I've looked at the new Corsair Glaive and maybe the Logitech 203 or 403. I prefer thumb buttons but could survive without.

Any simiar mice I should look at? I mostly do general pc tasks and video rendering. My gaming is usually Diablo 3 and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.

G502 would be my recommendation.

Unless you're using it "Korean SC2 Pro" style, without the shell on it, in which case who knows.

I'd second GlacierNine's opinion...The G502 is a great choice coming from a 9x. It's not quite the same, but it's pretty close.

yeah, i used my G9 until jan of last year. been using g303 for the last 12 months or so. it works really well. play bf1,overwatch,tomraider.

I just got the Corsair Glaive. big, weighty, performance in the hand. kind of reminds me of my G9x justy not as flat.

I've had several Logitech's over the last year, and every one of them had shitty clickers. Including the 502.

I honestly don't know what the best gaming mousoe is now. But for desktop? I've gone vertical. Once you go vertical you'll never go back.

Still rocking my G5 and have an old G500 as a spare when this one dies. I've replaced the feet a few times but other than that it's been solid. That's the problem with these older style logitech mice, once I got used to my G5 I couldn't touch any other style or brand - my hand just doesn't want to fit them.

Yeah, failing plastic and microswitches are my biggest gripe about modern mice. Maybe build your own? https://www.mechanotronikum.de/index.php/220-eine-maus-eine-maus.html LOL, Eine Maus! Eine Maus! I miss the MouseMan and its microswitches/buttons.

I am looking at G403 reviews, but I am starting to learn towards BenQ ZOWIE EC2-A or FK2 (EC1-A or FK1 if you want larger/heavier).

EC series is right handed only, FK is symmetrical/ambidextrous. This image from a reddit titled "Difference between Zowie EC/FK/ZA-series?" really helps. https://i.imgur.com/FYNgdqA.jpg It essentially the same mouse, just different sizes. If you want really wide there is the FK1+.

Appreciate all the responses. It's crazy how many mice are out there. I mean I know there are a lot but when you decide it's time to put old faithful to rest it's dizzying.

Work I use a M510 wireless, suitable and comfortable but at home I want more creature comfort.

Yeah the market is oversaturated to say the least and new brands/models are being introduced all the time. I recommended the ZOWIE series because of the wide adoption from the FPS esports community, so QC should be good by now after the transition period (BenQ aquired the company). I forgot to mention the Nixeus Revel as it uses a very similar PixArt sensor to what Logitech uses.

Also take a look at the Roccat Kone Pure Owl-Eye - 3360 sensor and a great coating. Similar size to G Pro / G303.

If you want thumb switches the Corsair Scimitar has 12.
I got the RGB version a year ago and its probably the best constructed peripheral I have used.
Failed switches (and a cable break) are why I gave up on Steelseries, 2 Sensei in a row were crap.
The switches on the Scimitar feel better, reassuring.
I use it on a sofa seat or cushion and it tracks better than any mouse I have tried.
Quality throughout.

I agree about the SS Sensei internal quality issues. The Nixeus Revel is a clone of it but with a better PixArt 3360 sensor and Omron switches. It too had some (early) production issues. 1UDdx4czku8 on YouTube if you want to see frankenmouse.

The Corsair Scimitar at 147grams, ok you win with the heaviest mouse lol. This is the first implementation I have seen where the thumb buttons actually look usable for this style mouse. Just make sure not to buy one from Jackson "Bajheera" Bliton because he likes to chew on things and apparently does not have time to brush his teeth. http://cwsmgmt.corsair.com/newscripts/scimitar/r2/live/images/scimitar/bg/testimonial.jpg source http://www.corsair.com/en-us/landing/scimitar

I dont notice that it is heavy, it hadnt crossed my mind in that regard. And thats after coming from the very light Sensei.
Remaining stable at high DPI settings is probably aided by higher mass.
I guess with less mouse movement, higher mass isnt a detriment but a benefit.

Oh I wasn't saying it as a bad thing, just joking as I mentioned a few heavier mice too. It is a different class of mouse and would be great for desktop use and any game with maybe the exception of a twitchy fast FPS like Quake.

Just imagine if Logicrap rereleases the G9X..
I'd buy 10 spares. No joke.
I've still got 2 that are hanging on for dear life.

So is this new Pro mouse anywhere close to the G9X?

Any clawgrippers used a G900 as a replacement to their G9s? It's fairly light - lighter than the G502.

Pro mouse is smaller it's good but I rather have something like the G9X

Could always buy the Alienware TactX if they are still in production, it's essentially the same as the G9x - I had my G9x for the longest time and by the time I needed to buy a replacement they weren't making them anymore...

I still have G9x and still ok condition but the front/back button starting to wear off. Not so clicky as it used to. Wonder how to make it work like new again w/out opening the mouse shell. I since have tried the corsair mouse, 1 Logitech wireless gaming mouse and the fps Logitech gaming mouse I'm currently using. Don't remember the name. G9x still the best mouse for Clawgrip mouse.

God ain't that the truth! My first real gaming mouse and still about my all time favorite. I remember when they had those Call of Duty models on sale for Luke $30 each and I didn't buy like 10 of them because I thought CoD was too cheesy and didn't think they'd actually stop making them.

I've still got an old G9 that is working and use it often but would love to have a couple of spares.

still using my mw2 version g9x. ive tried to replace it with 602 but I didn't like it. I bet there are still some like new g9x on ebay but I cant check right now. ;/ was great mouse and 40$ new my favorite is the wheel and placement of hand.

I bought this g9x mw3 edition for $35 5 years ago and I still regret not buying like 20 more at that price. Still working like the first day I got it no issues but I fear the end is near and these things go for +$200 new on ebay. Why did logitech kill the model I am not sure to be honest.
