Looking for something for work. Been looking around, and can't really decide what to look at. Only have a few criteria:

1. Corded
2. Prefer heavier (or adjustable weights)
3. Doesn't have that plastic-y feel to it.
4. Doesn't have to be ergo or the like.
5. Prefer "bigger" in size.

1-3 are the most imporant. 4 & 5 are rather negotiable.

I have a G5 (I think) at home, and l like it quite a bit. Is there something similar that isn't $$$?

I like the death-adder black edition.
It has a finish which is "less plasticy"

I don't know that MX518s they're selling now but the last one I had was rubberized and rough plastic finish which was also nice.

Have to go check this one out. Is it weighted, as well?

Any other suggestions for at least weighted mice?

Look at the G500. It's the replacement for the G5 with a slightly different shape, more features, and adjustable weights.

Ever considered a graphics tablet? Seems like a good choice for yOur application

I have, but I tend to do more page layout than actual graphic design work. And even then, the majority of the graphic design work I do is very basic.
