New Mac Pro's and the 24" Led Apple Cinema Display

Hi, Does the Apple 24" Led Cinema Display work with the new Mac Pro's. Previously the display only worked with the macbooks because it has a mini display port. I read that it will now work with the new Mac Pro's, Can anyone confirm this? Thanks for the info

Yes, it will work with the new Mac Pro. It will also work with the 2008 Mac Pro if you get the ATI Radeon HD 4870 video card.

The ATI Radeon HD 4870 video card comes with DisplayPort output support, but the Apple 24" LED Backlit Display requires the Apple Mini-Display Port outlet.

I doubt the Apple 24" LED Backlit Display will work with any Mac Pro other than the new one with Mini-Display Port outlet, but if you have a link showing the ATI Radeon HD 4870 video card with a Mini-Display Port Outlet please post it.

That adapter isn't going to work for the 24" ACD.

Since the card is a PCI Express 2.0 it appears that this will allow PC owners to use the new Apple 24" LED Backlit Display as well.

If you can flash the BIOS. Also it has a $200 premium over the PC card so it's only for people who would rather have a glossy panel than an A-TW panel.
