Came across this low profile CPU cooler in the Computex coverage, looks good for systems that need something this small:

Specs (from the product card in the pic):

  • 37mm tall
  • 92 x 14mm A-series fan
  • Two models for Intel and AMD sockets

Potentially competition for the Scythe Kozuti for best 40mm tall-and-under heatsink, although it appears to have fewer heatpipes (but a bigger fan).

which website did you see this on? Computex 2012 reporting doesn't seem as good as previous years

anyway, the cooler looks really interesting, Thin mini-ITX potential?

Pic is from this flickr. It's the only one of this cooler.

I don't see it being useful for Thin Mini-ITX. The difference between standard Mini-ITX and Thin Mini-ITX is the maximum allowable component height, as well as the height of the IO shield, which is about half for the latter (standard: ~50mm; thin: ~25mm). At 37mm, this cooler exceeds the component/IO shield of standard Mini-ITX, let alone Thin Mini-ITX.

Thanks! just started having look through the other photos, it's better than many of the professional blogs and tech sites

Hi everyone,

If been reading in these Forums for a while now and finally managed to create an account.

A few more pics of the new noctua products were posted on the german pc-games site: Link

Especially the first cooler is what I have been waiting for, though its just a prototype and propably not in stores very soon.
