Same, but I feel very uncertain about it, since I have an Nvidia GPU.

Awesome!

I'm guessing it's actually west coast time, I'm going to bed, hopefully it's available in the morning. EDIT: Yeah I'd bet my money on 3 a.m for East Coast people, Cost Co is headquartered just outside of Seatlle, WA.

My guess, Nvidia driver issue or HP Omen firmware issue. I think it may be a firmware issue on the Omen but I have zero issues on a Radeon with this monitor.

Yes, if you were to go AMD. Just pick up a used Fury X for cheap.. You'll get close to 1070 performance.

I'm not too happy that I had to sell my 1080 actually but since I lock everything at 75fps now, I really don't see the benefit of having the 1080 since I don't need the higher FPS anymore like I did with my Dell 2716DG.

So is it correct to conclude that, based on the test results mentioned earlier in this thread, that the Omen 32 does NOT use PWM at any brightness level? If so I'm in for 3 as soon as the $299 price goes live on the Costco website...

Ugh, and after all this hype. I don't feel
comfortable buying a monitor that won't be smooth in games.

I would sell my 1070 and get something AMD, but AMD doesn't have a card that similarly powerful out yet, and won't until next year sometime. Maybe I'll hang on to my money for now and look for a deal on a FreeSync monitor once the next gen of AMD is released.

Thanks for doing the test, Rvenger.

I assure you the Fury X is gloriously smooth on this HP Omen 32" monitor.

Fury X - $299.99 after rebate

Fury X vs. 1070 - (DX12 or Vulcan - the Fury X can make a very strong showing --- it's really holding it's own with driver updates and the HBM memory isn't a limiting factor).

also - I can't find a fury x crossfire review for (3) 1440P screens in eyefinity,

but I did find this old review of (3) 4K screens in eyefinity

Surprisingly the crossfire setup does quite well - even at that massive 11,520x2160 ((3) 4k eyerfinity) monitor resolution. Based on that it looks to me like a pair of Fury X will run three Omen monitors at probably high settings on any current game within the freesync range. (4K is 2x's the resolution of 1440p)

Decided to stay up and place my order the cost co deal is live, and my order is confirmed! Hopefully I like this big boy.

Edit: With tax and the 20 dollar non-membership surcharge my grand total was 339.19, so I got this for 20 dollars more than the Pixio.

The $25 off coupon seems to not work since it's counting the $100 off as a coupon itself. Sucks.

Hmm, worked for me, at least twice. I bought 3 in 3 separate orders and for the first 2 it stacked fine. Since I only had two coupon codes I tried some coupon codes from SlickDeals for the third, but it didn't work. Not sure if Costco patched their coupon system just now or if someone already used the SlickDeals codes (they were only a few minutes old when I tried them). I'll try calling Costco customer service when they're open again and see if I have any luck getting them to adjust it.

nm - saw you can buy them on ebay for $.99 cents.

I hope the seller I just bought a couple coupon codes through e-mails them to me ASAP.

How bad does 1080p look on the Omen? I am thinking about grabbing one from Amazon. The problem is I use the same screen fir both PC and PS4.

How's the input lag on the monitor while FPS gaming? Is it really bad?

Where'd that figure come from?

I doubt it's authenticity.

I have noticed no lag in playing on it whatsoever, and I do notice lag when playing on a HDTV.

Reference link for lag test?

Anyway this is HP's gaming line. I doubt they'd put a monitor out with a 30ms lag time and label it their gaming line.

Also perhaps it's different in AMD Freesync mode than say photo or text or cinema mode.

I use a Fury X card and freesync for what it's worth.

I just bought 2 more of these displays from Amazon for $300 each and a second Fury X from newegg for $300 AR.

Monitor has 5ms input lag, per the HP web site.

Got mine at Amazon; was actually cheaper than Costco due to Costco charging tax on the original value, not the discounted value.
Plus 2 day shipping.

5ms is pixel response time - how long it takes to change from one colour to another (usually quoted times are grey to grey which is best case scenario). The Omen also requires overdrive setting to hit 5ms.

Input lag is basically processing time for a frame. Perceived input lag is a combination of the two.

I just ordered, switched from Costco to Amazon due to lower tax and 3% back. Thanks for the heads up.

I am concerned about frame skipping etc as I have a 1070. They bundle these screens with desktop systems with nvidia cards so I'm hoping if it is a firmware problem they can fix it. PWM dimming may or may not bother me but worth trying out for the cost.

Costco charged shipping on original price? You sure about that I ordered 3 and got charged on $299 each.

Yep. Positive. For all states where there is a Costco, they charge sales tax on the original value of products, before discounts are applied. A few states have exceptions per local tax laws (e.g., CA).

SUBTOTAL $1,199.97
Less Promo Code $300.00
SHIPPING & HANDLING $0.00
TAX $56.25
TOTAL $956.22

We have tons of Costco's in MA 6.25 tax rate.

On the other hand I just ordered 3 from Amazon as I forgot they have a 5% cashback with Discover going right now so I'll call Costco tomorrow to cancel.

Amazon sold out at 299.00 price, fyi

Yup when I was debating there where 17 in stock then 7 then when I placed the order for 3 it said 1 in stock and I was like WTF then after I placed the order it said there where 5 in stock! There inventory system is WACKY :) I guess I'll see what happens my order tab says Wednesday delivery.

Decided to bite on one. Interested to see how it compares to my BenQ.

Ended up cancelling my CostCo order and went with Amazon. No stupid subscription surcharge and I get 2 day shipping.

I cancelled my original Costco order as they were taxing on pre discount price so was $340+ for me. There's a support form online that has cancel or change order option. Then I ordered from Amazon. Then noticed Costco uses UPS ground (rather than random or a mix of carriers) which means I can send to an address in Oregon and redirect for $5 which means $304 total. Mwuhaha. Begun the Black Friday Discount Hunting Shenanigans have.

Now hoping for some 1TB ssd's for under $200 tomorrow... I need at least one but with a good price I'll pick up a pair.

So how is this for gaming if your upgrading from a 1920x1200 @60Hz? I wanted to save up for a X34, but the price is so outrageous.

This a good first person shooter monitor?

yes - this monitor will knock your socks off. (IMO)

I already have the Crossover 27 Fast 144, but I had to get this at only $275 from Costco (with coupon). Whichever one I like better stays as my main monitor.

Crazy that I paid $430+ for the Crossover a few months ago. Maybe I won't be able to handle 75hz compared to 144. We'll see.

Nvidia graphics card or AMD?

Cause if you have an Nvidia card you might be using this Omen at 60hz to avoid frame skipping.

I'm gonna pick up a new video card. Will sell my GTX970. What is the best AMD card for 1440P AAA games at max everything?
