I live in Vancouver, Canada and I have Shaw cable as my internet provider. Recently in the past year they upgraded all of the modems so they sent me one in the mail this week and I hooked it all up and my computer instantly went from a maximum 300kb/sec to over 1200kb/sec. I'm pretty happy about it.
However, I also use the same modem to play online PS3. I just tried going online and now it isn't recognizing any connection with the new modem. I tried going back into the PS3 network settings and re-config'ing all of the internet connections (everything is set on automatic anyway), but I'm not getting a connection. It says it cannot find an IP address among other things. I tried manually entering my IP address but it wont let me enter my IP address unless I also add the Subnet Mask, Router, 1st, and 2ndary IP addresses as well.
Anyone got an idea of how to get my PS3 online with my new modem?
