Does this mean we can upgrade now to the mainstream drivers?

This is a WHQL-certified driver for GeForce 200-series, 9-series, and 8800-series desktop GPUs.

Exciting New Features:

Enables NVIDIA SLI technology on SLI-certified Intel X58-based motherboards with the following GPUs: GeForce GTX 280, GeForce GTX 260, GeForce 9800 GX2, GeForce 9800 GTX+, and GeForce 9800 GTX. Learn more here.
Enables NVIDIA PhysX acceleration on a dedicated GeForce graphics card. Use one card for graphics and dedicate a different card for PhysX processing for game-changing physical effects. Learn more here. (Note: GPU PhysX is supported on all GeForce 8-series, 9-series and 200-series GPUs with a minimum of 256MB dedicated graphics memory. This driver package automatically installs PhysX System Software version 8.10.13).

SLI MULTIMONITOR SUPPORT!!! OMFG!!!!

ehhem. Excuse me.

has anyone tried them?

any preformance gains/loss with folding with them?

500 ppd loss on wu 5506 on each of my GTX 260's.
I could not find in any instance that they help the stability of the GPU2 client.
- Reverting back to 178.24

Edit: I also noticed that temps on my GTX 260's with the 180.48 under load were 4 degrees C lower.
This may benifit some folders that are having troubles with high temps on there GPU's.

thanks for that. I'm good on temps so I'll just stick with the drivers I have for now.

did you enable physX to run on your 2nd card?
Yes I enabled it on the second card. Removed dummy plug from second card and tried to run FAH (got error).
Put dummy plug back on, ran FAH and started folding.

If you are running SLI (for gaming) can you run GPU on both? As long as you use a dummy plug?

hm. I wonder if it would make a difference if SLI was enabled.

anand didn't address FAH specifically, only PhysX

err... he talked about Tesla, CUDA, etc on the last page.... and cards with no-plugs....

I'd have thought Nvidia would have addressed FAH (or any CUDA app.) with this dummy desktop fix.

When I installed the 180.70, I noticed that it automatically extended the secondary card. However I had to manually extend the 3rd and 4th cards. Also, I have dummy plugs in the 2,3 and 4th slots. Not much help but just my observations.
