Please tell us any issues or problems you are seeing with the new forum software. Please be specific! Post a picture if you think it will help.

Yes, the format is different here and there, even though we have tried to make it identical to the older version. That said, let's take a week or two and let this new format sink in a little so we can used to it. After that, we will reach back out to everyone and talk about format changes that have not been adopted. Cool?

looks better...fonts look more crisp...overall everything looks more sleek...only thing I don't like is the stats bar on the right hand side of the front page of the forums...takes up too much space

Stats bar?

Stats bar?

looks like it's gone now...when the site first came back online there was a Stats Bar listing all the members currently online along with newest threads etc on the right hand side of the front page

Yeah, that is gone.

Haven't tried it ony desktop yet.

Things look a little strange on my phone, with icons being much higher resolution (good) but maybe a bit on the small side.

As much as I am one to like UI's to never change, there isn't anything here I can't get used to...

I have had a few issues though. The mobile interface gets weird when you try to upload images.

The upload screen uploads the file and the just sits there. You have to manually go back and reload the page for the upload to be visible alongside the post. When I did this I couldn't get either of the buttons to insert a thumbnail or full image into the post to work for me.

This is in Firefox Mobile on Android.

does this mean those threads talking about Life Lock alerting them that the site was compromised was legit?...the old software was the issue?

Man this looks so different. It's like we went from being to some other kind of being.

For real though; Everything seems bigger is there a forum tool to tone down the size? or is it that good old Ctrl -

Edit: oh the sub-forum links look fine, it is just in a thread everything looks much bigger

Good question and I am glad you asked it here.

So we got less than 10 forum members talking to us about that. Still serious enough that we felt it all out.

The database was compromised here, but from what we can tell it happened around 10 years ago, unbeknownst to us. So I am not sure if an old admin sold it off or if it was hacked. Either way, all your passwords are fully encrypted in our database, so no passwords have ever leaked out.

Once we get through all the upgrade tweaks, we are going to put up a notification to suggest that everyone update their password. The encryption in this new forum software is very much hardened to today's standards.

The blue color on the staff indicator under your name is gone.
Yes it is, did not like that.

Enabled push notifications
If enabled, a user will be able to subscribe to receive their alerts via devices which are compatible with the Push API. Users will only be able to enable push notifications if they are using a compatible device. This is supported by most major browsers except Safari on macOS and any browser on iOS.

Is there a setting to scale down the sizing of things, while inside a thread?

Everything looks nice. But, it feels a bit cramped on my 13 inch laptop with 720p screen.

I haven't seen any problems so far. I rather like the changes I've seen so far.

I feel like concerns about this were brought up a few years ago as well (and it turned out to be the old stuff then, as well), but it could just be me being senile as usual.

Regardless, I've updated my password since it's been a while.

OK, give us a few days to work through desktop first, then we will get to mobile.

Currently, no. Yeah, the format is a bit larger than it used to be.

Yeah, we got about 4 or 5 reports of this a few years ago. Again, passwords are fully encrypted. That said, once we get all the Matrix ironed out on this upgrade, we are going to push hard on getting everyone to update their passwords.

I am literally the oldest member on this board, and I have yet to find anything compromised that was linked back to here. But in this case, we will assume the worst and move forward from there.

I would say the placement of "new posts" on the left and "mark forums read" should be switched. I was too used to new posts being there and almost marked the forums read twice now.

Spellcheck is acting weird for some reason. If I hit backspace while any words in the post are highlighted with a squiggly line and hit back space all the highlighted words in the post are no longer highlighted, at least most of the time. I've also had a word not highlight until I hit backspace and another when the entire post became highlighted.

Other than that the changes will take a little getting used to but I don't hate it like some redesigns so that's nice at least.

Device and keyboard being used? RoldanLT

This is one of the better reskins I've seen. It keeps the aesthetic of the original with modern flair. Top icons are a bit tiny on mobile (note 9) but everything else looks polished.

Wow, this all looks nice and fresh. I like the way you can hover over a linked image and delete it, seems much easier than before

It looks awesome, more simplified and modern style without losing the original essence of [H]. I'm gonna miss avatars, they're part of the history of forums imo.

I must be missing something but how do I find the "full reply" button so I don't have to type in this little box at the bottom of the thread?

Prefer the older look, but this still looks and feels good. Most forums that update these days just end up functioning terribly. So thanks for keeping this conductive to reading, replying and good looking. Very much appreciated.

Uses way too much space, highly inefficient comapred to old design. Seriously everything has too much spacing, it spreads it out and look like shitty new reddit or a mobile site. Please no..
That said at least the theme is close.. I still like old [H] better for readability.
Other than that the functionality for adding images etc is better as well as snappier to use. But the spacing..

Looks and works fine for me (although I haven't tried mobile yet). Close enough to the last look to keep the boomers happy, and new enough to placate the millennials. ;)

Now if only Microsoft could figure this one out.....

Looks very clean and crisp on desktop, and was a treat to see this morning. Nice job-

Loving it. Would still like a HardForum app or something. Mobile Browser isn't that great.

I just came here to mention that the text looks a little softer and thick - not the text in the posts like I'm typing here, the thread titles on the main pages. Almost like they are bold font or something. Definitely not a huge issue, just the first thing I noticed. Everything seems to be working fine and not a lot different than what it was as far as function goes.

I dont like change lol. That said I like the look of it, feels flatter? which I like, seems easier on the eyes.

The whole format/fonts are a little strange after being used to the old one, but that's a personal problem. No technical issues so far, but I haven't tried all the things that I normally use.

One thing, can you make the alerts a little larger on the menu bar?

Now I remember, a few other forums do the same thing, a pre-screen thumbnail of the op's post pops up even when your mouse is on the line of the post. Drive my nuts because is covers the other posts header. Only does it once for the first time you enter the sub-forum page (well, each time you open the sub-forum page after closing a post). It goes away if you click somewhere else on the sub-forum page, but sometimes you open something you didn't want to. Minor nitpick, but you old package didn't do this,
