The first is a revision to the WD740GD (00FLC0, older Raptors were 00FLAx) with about a half-millisecond quicker seeks than the older FLA SKUs. Performance is up across the board ,but it still falls short of the 7K500. Anyone have one of these newer Raptors?
Next up is a Maxtor DiamondMax10, with noticable contrasts to the MaxLineIII in performance.
Also, the T7K250 makes an appearance in the SR database.
EDIT: SR has added the 160GB/platter Barracuda 7200.9. Also, it would appear that Seagate has finally got their seek performance straightened out, SR records a <9ms read seek time for the 160GB/platter 7200.9, putting it in the same seek performance league as Hitachi drives
