Hi everybody,

I'm currently going to be upgrading almost every component of my computer minus the video card and my SSD. I know in the past with WinXP you needed to do a full fresh install whenever you changed chipsets, but is it still the case with Win7? I've heard rumors that it's not necessary anymore (which would be awesome since I wouldn't have to reinstall everything).

Is this true?

Thanks!

#1 kill any wmp tasks in task manager
#2 if you are using anything that uses SPTD drivers like daemon tools uninstall it
#3 C:\WINDOWS\System32\sysprep\sysprep.exe /generalize /shutdown
#4 move HD over to new system and boot
#5 sit back and wait for windows to reinstall all new drivers

DONE!
