i read all the way through the description and found this:

Unit will ship when all units have sold, Usually within (30 days),

not a big deal for that price, if its legit. just sounds too good to be true...

i think someone hacked that account. I mean the guys has 4 sales and 21 buys in 1 year+ and all of a sudden he has 500 ipods to sell @ that price

the guy has 25 100% feedback. listing says about 480 units...he has 2 listings.
but in a Q he answered sayoing his company has about 20000 units to sell.

I can't check the auction at work. But that one post saying it won't ship until all units are sold. How many does the auction list?

And that just worries me, being too convient so the person can collect everyone's money and have reason to not ship anything until all sell and then disappear with all the cash.

Let me guess too, dos this guy have 0 feedback?

EDIT: Maybe the guy has been hacked after reading the above post. Or he was lucky enough to have a large box of ipods fall out a truck in front of his house.

He has 25 positive feedback and 0 negative
there are 472 left and about 2 dozen sold so far

This seems way to good to be true.

A little too good to be true. Even if he does have 400+ units, I'm sure he could sell them for $300 each and people would still buy it.

I think you'd be right if it said "new Apple IPOD 60GB PHOTO "

well he gives the SKU number....

that checks out to be the last generation 60GB ipod, before apple reduced the price...

I have messed with those at work (work@bestbuy) they are pretty nifty they come with a color LCD and such.

Perhaps someone should report the post to eBay so they can investigate...

It really does sound WAY too good to be true, and the not shipping one unit until all sell issue is a tad strange.

I think you have it right as far as the clause and not shipping them. I cannot see any way possible that somebody would be selling them so cheap. You could make so much more money putting them at a regular action and $1 starting bid...

Sounds like a great deal, but way too good to even see if it is real IMHO.

Doesn't paypal have only a 30 day limit on claiming fraud?

VERY good catch...I bet that is how he is trying to get away with it.

it's $100,000. their not just going to let that slide and deal with 500 incoming complaints.

No, really - I've got some great ocean front property in Arizona that I'd like to sell - cheap!

:D

anybody have anymore details on this? I'm ready to buy

I sent them an email as well, enough people are going to be emailing them they are going to get the point. The chances of this being legitimate are about 0.

lawrence kansas is only like 45 mins from me, i could go club him with something.

If you could find him, you should just buy one of the other 19,500 units that he claims to have - then club him with something.

I sent him a message to see if I can buy one in person, if he says no then I will tell you, then we will know hes prolly not legit.

I'll buy when there's about a 100 left or less than a day. I'll use a credit card then we'll see. Per eBay rules, he's supposed to make sure I have it within 30 days I think.

ill do it when I feel like commiting suicide...Ever notidce when stuff like this is posted....they either have no feedback or just enough to get you a little confidence to do it?

please respond with what ebay says asap, this sounds like a burning hot deal if we disregard the shaddy seller.

doesnt ebay or paypal offer some kind of insurance or something, in case this doesn't come through, we get our money back????

i dont have a CC, only my check/debit/atm card.

it is def looking like this guy or gals account has been hijacked he has hundreds of these ipods and cant include a real photo of the actualy product in the auction listing? hmmm very fishy

scenario # 1
Who ever owns this ebay screen name robbed an ipod store and jacked some boxes and wants to get rid of these ipods quickly

scenario # 2
the account has been hijacked

scenario # 3
this is a once and a lifetime chance that you can brag to your friends about that you got a $600 ipod for 200 bucks and to top it all off you got free shipping

scenario # 4
auction turns out to be fake and you get your money back because you used a protected credit card....right?

ipod business right now is 95% scams. I am in the process of getting authorization through apple to become an authorized reseller to buy from apple. Anyone selling ipods either as supplier or distribution center is most likely fraud.
