should i be worried it shows the card running at PCIe 1x @ 1.1?

was getting ~24fps running Valley at Ultra @ 1280x800.

I'm thinking it's probably an GPUz oddity. That is a fairly old mother board and doesn't have official Win 7 support that I can see. Which slot do you have the card installed in? I believe slot 4 and 7 are the X16 slots.

i am tempted to agree, for there is no good reason why it should run a modern ati card at 1x, and also i believe the valley benchmark is showing roughly the score i would expect of it.

it is in the second PCIe 16x slot, as the top one would not let the driver install properly.
tried with the driver disk, 13.9whql and 13.11b6 and it would install, say it had installed, then pop up a message saying the driver had noit installed. the screen would flicker black periodically, and occasionally go into standby mode.

in the second slot the driver installs fine and seems stable under load.
