I just this evening bought a brand-spanking new Netgear WGT624 802.11g router, with the "Super G" PC Card to go along with it.
Took me a while to get the router working in regular wired mode (had to reset the modem, then everything was peachy). I noticed on the auto-update firmware screen that the loaded version was 1.x, and the newest was 3.x. "Heck, that's pretty old!" I thought, so I decided to update.
It then hung on "Updating settings." It's been dead since.
Every time I try to ipconfig /renew, my system tray notifies me that a cable is unplugged. (This happens on multiple computers.) Wireless is a no-go. And I've tried to do a hard reset to no avail--unplugging for 30+ minutes and trying; unplugging, holding down reset, then plugging in while still holding down reset for 20+ seconds; hold reset, unplug, keep holding, replug.
My last course of action is to return the product tomorrow morning. But before I do, is there anything I can do to try to fix this?
