Netflix, the mega-giant streaming service has cut a deal to buy comics publisher Millarworld. The company was founded by Mark Millar, a man who had his hands in several Marvel properties including Old Man Logan and Marvel's Civil War event which have influenced recent movies based on his stories. Millarworld's own comic series, Wanted, Kick-Ass, and Kingsman have been adapted to film with a global pull of about $931 million. Good pick-up for the company as the premises for his stories are interesting at the very least. However, Wanted, Kick-Ass, and Kingsman franchises are not currently part of the deal.

"Mark is as close as you can get to a modern-day Stan Lee," Netflix's chief content officer, Ted Sarandos, said in a statement, referring to the 94-year-old creator of comic book franchises such as "Spider-Man," "Avengers" and "X-Men."
