Netbook power

I have a customer looking for a new laptop, they use it mostly for presentations and the odd internet/email checking and whatnot. Im just curious as to the computing power of the Atom based netbooks. Would they sufficiently run powerpoint/presentation programs?

Customer would like to keep there budget as low as possible and a netbook would meet all their other needs as long as it can preform in the other areas (running large presentations flawlessly) as well. The notebook their coming from is an old Compaq presario 900.

My Atom netbook plays 720p video all in software, so yes, Powerpoint will be fine.
