Need XP Home ISO

I'm not looking for warez or anything illegal. Mods delete this if it goes beyond the bounds of what is legal here in the forums.

I need an ISO image of an XP Home CD so I can reinstall it for someone. I have the CDKEY on the sticker on the side of the PC, but my friend lost the CD and the only ones I have are PRO disks. This shouldn't be illegal since I will be activating it with his original key so nothing funny going on. I just need a link to somewhere that I can get the original CD, no cracks or keygens please.
 
it is possible, if he has a prebuilt system, that there never was a cd... but instead there is a norton ghost partition on the drive... so you would just need to find a "repair/recovery" disk that came with the computer.... amamax had this http://amamax.com/wi20proprein.html for xp, but i think it was pro.. you can search their site..

but i think finding home on the warez scene will he really hard.. because people only use corporate pro...
 
It's not really illegal to burn a disk of XP. You have your CD key and that's what matters. The problem is, did you have a full copy of XP to begin with? Or did you get fux0red and get a restore disk? Either way, you want a real copy of the original disk. So either A. Contact Microsoft and tell them what happened, I'm sure you can get another disk. Or B. Contact Dell or whoever built the machine and get a new restore disk.

You will not find a legit copy of XP for download on the internet.

It is a legit OEM copy, not a branded one from Dell or Gateway, the boob just lost it, but the sticker with the CDKEY is still on the machine, so if I can get the ISO of a Home CD i can use it to reinstall. I DON'T NEED OR WANT A KEY OR KEYGEN.
 
If the OP has a legit license for XP Home, he can install off whatever XP Home cd he gets, even if he downloads an .ISO.

However, since posting a site is probably not allowed in this case, Ravenrex, because such places could have other software (or links) that are pirated, I'd suggest getting information on a Bittorrent torrents website. Shouldn't be that hard. You could also feasibly download an .ISO off kazaa, though I would not recommend that since kazaa is a den of computer diseases.

Too bad you don't have a Pro OEM key, I'd send you one of my many OEM Pro discs.

But if what your saying is correct that its a straight oem. Then you really shouldnt have any problem getting a disk.. Heck you could probably find someone near you to bring theirs over.. or do you have any local computer stores ( not national ones) they might even take pity on you and let you use theirs for 1 hr
 
I think your best bet is trying to find someone local to you that has one. Unfortunately it will be tough because a lot of OEM versions will only install for that brand of computer.

That's a dead torrent, already found and tried that. Better just delete that link compslcker.

Aren't 5 in 1s conisdered warez and illegal? I know a place that used to have them and took them down cause they said they are considered warez.
 
that supercd sounds pretty spiff...I guess its too bad I actually own a copy of XP...otherwise I might give that a shot...
