Anyone know how to print ȳ in Windows? It's not in the character map applet. Anyone?

You can do it in Word or WordPad by typing 0233 and then pressing Alt-x. Of course you'll need a font that supports it. The rest of the upper and lowercase vowels with macron:

Ā 0100
ā 0101
Ē 0112
ē 0113
Ī 012A
ī 012B
Ō 014C
ō 014D
Ū 016A
ū 016B
Ȳ 0232
ȳ 0233

It's trickier to enter it in other apps without changing your keyboard layout to one that supports macrons directly. That will probably make your regular typing a lot harder though. ;)

With a registry change, it's supposed to be possible to enter the hex codes above on the numeric keypad. I don't know if it works or not (see method 1 in the link): http://www.fileformat.info/tip/microsoft/enter_unicode.htm

Oh..Thank you soo much. Been looking for that for quite some time.
