Since I'm getting a 360 now I'm going to get a router for them to both share my cable connection.

I was thinking of Wireless Vs Wired.

At first I was going to go wireless, but since I play to use my xbox on my computer monitor/sound system it's going to be close to my computer already, so I don't really need to do I?

I was thinking about going wireless with this modem: (the <rev 3 or under one)

However after a while when I started to think that wired probally would be fine I found this modem:

Which one should I get?

Also there is quite a bit of a price difference too. With the wireless modem I would have to buy an adapter to hook it up. However with the wired one I already have on-board ethernet so all I have to do is buy another ethernet cable and i'm good to go.

However speed-wise/stability, etc what am I going to get? I usually think with the mindset of "you get what you pay for" however the d-link modem has quite a few very good reviews for it, aswell it's xbox live compatible and everything.

Neither of those are modems. They are routers. Completely different devices. You would use a wireless modem if you needed say, an internet connection on the road or outside your house, in a laptop, but didn't want to use a wireless NIC at a Hotspot. Sprint for instance..

Anyway, either of those budget routers would be fine. If you don't want wireless then get the wired if your comfortable with the feature set and price.

Yes I know, I meant to say Router not modem.

I already have a usb modem :p.

Also if yo go wireless expect to kick down anothe C-note for the 360 wireless adapter although you can find em on the bay for around fiddy bux if youre lucky.
