I will be putting all this in to my Stacker 830 and will be using the hard drives and and dvd drives out of my old box.

I want to try and overclock a bit but not to an extreme. I use my computer pretty much to surf the web and play games such as WOW, COD and pretty much any other game to looks like it would be fun.

So if anyone has any suggestions on any of the parts that I plan to order it would be greatly appreciated. Oh by the way I am upgrading from an AM2 4600 with an Asus board.

Thanks for the help.

no need for 4 gigs of ram, and dont waste ur money on the 9800 gtx.

edit: learn from my mistakes, i also purchased 4 gigs of ram and an 8800 gtx, about 6 months ago when i built my entire pc.

2/4 gigs made no difference in any games, i played crysis, css, farcry, cod4, ect ect. i just sold my other 2 gigs that was laying around in my closet, and vista because its bad. and as far as buying the "best gpu" i feel like an idiot, i spent 650$ on my 8800 gtx just to have the best and i definatly should of gotten like an 8800 gt that's almost as good with half the price.

I say go for the 9800GTX, it's not that much more than a 8800GTS 512, and you can add another one down the road if you want.

9800GTX is overrated. Go with the 8800GTS and sli them later on down the road. Might as well go ahead with the 4gb of ram. Ram is soo cheap right now.

Are the new Nvidia GPU's confirmed for summer 2008?
If yes, then don't buy a 9800GTX. Anyhow, I would agree it's over-rated. GTS 512 would do the trick.

750W is also way too much.
The Corsair 450 would power that system (barely, but you get the picture). 520HX or similar would be a better choice.

Unless you plan to SLi ?

I would say your good. The 750W psu will leave you room to SLI in future, 9800gtx is overrated but what the hell why not.

DO IT.

I say get the four gigs, it made a difference with me, and videocard get the fastest you can afford imo.
